Wheat Muffins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 4 teaspoons baking powder

  • 2 tablespoons sugar

  • 3 tablespoons shortening

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 egg

Directions

  • Sift dry ingredients.

  • Mix milk, beaten egg and shortening.

  • Combine the 2 mixtures.

  • Stir only until the flour mixture is moistened.

  • Pour into lined cupcake pans.

  • Bake 15 to 20 minutes in a 450° oven.
