Ingredients

  • 1 package filo dough (8 leaves)

  • 1 16 oz. can apple pie filling

  • 8 ounces chopped walnuts

  • 1 cup white raisins soaked in brandy

  • 1 pound butter

  • powdered sugar

Directions

  • Mix together the pie filling, walnuts, and the raisins soaked in brandy.

  • Melt 1/2 pound of butter.

  • Take the fillo leaves and place in damp cloth.

  • On another damp cloth place one fills leaf and brush with butter.

  • Lay another on top and brush with butter.

  • Four leaves total.

  • Then add filling across bottom.

  • Roll all the way up.

  • Brush top with butter.

  • Place on cookie sheet and bake 400° oven 25-35 minutes.

  • For Puffs: Take one sheet of fills and brush with butter.

  • Cut in quarters.

  • Then cut each quarter in thirds.

  • Put 1 teaspoon of filling on each piece.

  • Fold over.

  • Brush with butter.

  • Roll - not tightly and brush again.

  • Place end on bottom.

  • Variation:

  • Replace Apple pie filling with blueberry pie filling.
