Southern Peach Yam Bake

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 3 tablespoons flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine

  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

  • 2 17 oz. cans Royal Prince Yams drained*

  • 1 16 oz. can peach slices drained

  • 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows

Directions

  • Combine sugar, flour, and nutmeg;

  • cut in butter/margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  • Add nuts.

  • Arrange yams and peaches in a 1 1/2 quart casserole;

  • sprinkle with sugar mixture.

  • Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.

  • The last 10 minutes top with marshmallow and broil until lightly browned and melted.
