Simple Oatmeal Bread

1 Serving from “Bread Machine Baking” by Lora Brody

I prefer to set the bread machine on manual and make two loaves of bread. Let dough rest for 15 minutes before rolling out. Bake in a 350° oven for 30 to 40 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 teaspoons yeast

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 3/4 cup quick cooking rolled oats

  • 2 1/2 cups bread flour

  • 3/4 cup water plus 3 tablespoons

  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine or vegetable oil

  • 1 tablespoon molasses

  • 1 tablespoon honey

Directions

  • Have all ingredients at room temperature.

  • Place all ingredients in the machine, program for white bread and press start.
