2 pounds flour

1 tablespoon sugar

1 ounce yeast

1 tablespoon salt

water add until moist

Mix ingredients together.

Let dough rise for about one hour.

Drop handfuls of dough in three quarts of hot oil.

Cook until golden.

Drain and sprinkle with confectioners’ sugar.
