New England Clam Chowder Quiche

Ingredients
1 10 3/4 ounce can New England clam chowder
1/2 onion chopped fine
1/2 cup sour cream
4 eggs slightly beaten
1/4 teaspoon oregano
4 to 5 slices American cheese
1 unbaked pie shell
Directions
Preheat oven to 400°.
Mix first 5 ingredients.
Pour half of mixture into pie shell and layer the American cheese on top.
Then pour in the remaining batter.
Bake at 400° for 15 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350° and bake for another 45-55 minutes or until center is firm and golden brown.
Serve with a salad and a side of rice for a great meal.
Replace eggs with egg beaters for a lower fat, low cholesterol meal.
