Marshmallow Treats

  • 6 to 10 ounces marshmallows (about 40) or 4 cups miniature marshmallows

  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine

  • 5 cups Rice Krispies cereal


  • Melt butter in 3 quart saucepan.

  • Add marshmallows and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until marshmallows are melted and mixture is syrupy.

  • Remove from heat.

  • Add rice krispies and stir until well coated.

  • Press warm mixture evenly and firmly into buttered 13x9-inch pan.

  • Cut into squares when cool.
