Blueberry Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 pint blueberries

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour sifted

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • dash of salt

  • 1/2 cup butter

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  • Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

  • Set aside.

  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar, add eggs, one at a time, beating between additions.

  • Add vanilla, mix well.

  • Add sifted dry ingredients and mix well.

  • Batter will be very thick.

  • Fold in berries thoroughly.

  • Pour into greased and floured 8-inch square cake pan.

  • Bake in a preheated 350° oven about 30 minutes or until cake tests done.
