 
    
  Beef Stroganoff II

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds round steaks or leftover beef 
- 4 tablespoons flour 
- 1 teaspoon salt 
- 1/4 teaspoon salt 
- 4 tablespoons shortening 
- 1 onion thinly sliced 
- 1/4 cup beef stock or bouillon 
- 1 teaspoon prepared mustard 
- 3/4 cup sour cream 
- 1 6 1/2 oz. can mushrooms 
Directions
- Cut meat into strips. 
- Dust with flour mixed with salt and pepper. 
- In skillet fry the meat and onion in 2 tablespoons of shortening about 3 minutes. 
- Add remaining shortening and stir in remaining 1 tablespoon of flour. 
- Gradually stir in beef stock and cook, stirring until sauce is smooth and thickened. 
- Stir in mustard, sour cream and mushrooms. 
- Cover and cook over low heat for 1 hour (or until meat is cooked thoroughly and tender).
